Nightwish

La idea de Nightwish nació en julio de 1996 una noche que estaba Toumas pasando la noche con sus amigos mientras acampaba. Las tres primeras rolas fueron aya entre octubre y diciembre de 1996 en ese tiempo solo eran Toumas, Tarja y Emppu.
La banda quería escuchar como su música sonaba con batería así que ahí entro Jukka. También en ese tiempo empezaron con la guitarra eléctrica. Después de unas semanas Siete canciones fueron grabadas ya en abril de 1997.
En Mayo de 1997, Nightwish firmo con la casa disquera Spinefarm. Y en agosto comenzaron con su primer sensillo, llamado The Carpenter. Y despues en noviembre sale su primer disco Angel Fall First. De ahi la banda se detubo un poco ya que Jukka y Emppu estaban con el ejersito y Tarja con sus estudios.
Hasta Abril de 1998, la banda saca su primer video, The Carpenter y salio a la tele hasta mayo. Y en el verano al fin consiguen bajista oficial Sami Vänskä. En noviembre 13 su segundo vídeo fue grabado Sacrament Of Wildrness. El nuevo disco salio en diciembre 7 de 1998 Oceanborn.
