Manowar

Manowar es un grupo estadounidense de heavy metal y power metal originario de Auburn, Nueva York. Fundado en 1979, son muy reconocidos por sus letras dedicadas al heavy metal como concepto, a las motocicletas y en ocasiones hasta al género femenino, abarcando también temas épicos y mitológicos (mitología nórdica principalmente).
Son conocidos por romper el récord Guiness de la banda con el sonido más potente del mundo en más de una ocasion, y además dieron el concierto de heavy metal más largo de la historia, que duró 5 horas y 10 minutos en Bulgaria, en 2008.2
La banda ha vendido alrededor de 10 millones de álbumes en todo el mundo, abanderados de lo que ellos definen como true metal, inspirado sobre todo en la fuerza de las composiciones del músico alemán Richard Wagner.
