Mudvayne

Mudvayne es una banda de Metal Alternativo formada en Peoria, Illinois en 1996. Consta de cuatro miembros, el cantante principal Chad Gray, Greg Tribbett en guitarras, Ryan Martinie y Shaw Barclay en bajos y Matthew McDonough en batería. Bajo el sello Epic records, La banda cuenta con una discografía de cinco álbumes de estudio, dos álbumes de compilación, y dos DVD. En sus comienzos, la banda se encontraba influenciada por el nu metal con ritmos de jazz y blues, aunque conservando un tono agresivo característico del Metal Alternativo.
Mudvayne ha alcanzado la fama en el 2000 con su álbum debut L.D. 50, que alcanzó el puesto nº 85 en el Billboard 200, y que desde entonces ha sido cerficado oro por la RIAA. El sencillo principal del álbum, "Dig", ganó el MTV2 Award en los MTV Video Music Awards, en el 2001. Adicionalmente, fue la primera vez en la que el premio le fue entregado a una banda de metal. En el 2006, Mudvayne fue nominada por mejor performance de una banda de metal, en los Premios Grammy, por su sencillo Determined del álbum "Lost and Found". Mudvayne posee cuatro cerficicaciones oro por la RIAA, y ha vendido aproximadamente tres millones de álbumes en los Estados Unidos
